Christina, Dental Hygienist

Christina has been a part of the dental world for over 25 years, and for her, the best part of her job comes down to the one-on-one connections she makes with each of her patients. She started her career as a dental assistant before eventually attending the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to complete her hygiene training.
Christina is married to Nathan, and they are the proud parents of twin boys. She is active in her children’s PTA, and to relax, she likes to go out on her boat and fish in the Laguna Madre. She also loves reptiles and has two turtles, a leopard gecko, and a veiled chameleon!
Stacie, Dental Hygienist

Stacie is a dedicated and experienced dental hygienist with a strong background in both periodontal assisting and hygiene. She earned her dental hygiene degree from UT Health Science Center San Antonio. She values working alongside a supportive team and takes pride in helping patients achieve optimal oral health.
Originally from San Antonio, Stacie enjoys a busy and fulfilling life outside of dentistry. She and her husband, Trent, have three wonderful children—two boys and a girl—who keep them active with sports and dance. The family is deeply involved in their church, and Stacie loves hiking and staying engaged in outdoor activities. Her lifelong fascination with teeth has made dentistry the perfect career path.
Miranda, Dental Assistant

Miranda is a dedicated and experienced assistant with years of hands-on expertise in the surgical field. She graduated from the Del Mar College Dental Assistant Program and is Nitrous Certified. Originally from San Diego, Texas, Miranda loves being part of a supportive and talented team, which she says is the best part of her job.
Outside of work, Miranda leads an active and vibrant life. She’s passionate about running, hitting the gym, and getting creative by doing her own nails. One of her most remarkable accomplishments was running 10 miles without any training, demonstrating her determination and can-do spirit. She also enjoys spending time with her beloved weenie dog, who has been her loyal companion for years!
Denise, Office Manager / Registered Dental Assistant

Denise has a strong passion for patient care and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both visitors and colleagues. She takes pride in guiding and motivating her team, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences. She loves meeting new people, greeting visitors, and engaging in friendly conversations throughout the day at South Texas Periodontics & Implants.
Originally from Corpus Christi, Denise enjoys an active lifestyle outside of work. She and her husband, Andrew, have been married for seven years and share a blended family of six children. Much of her free time is spent supporting her kids in sports, but she also enjoys hunting, fishing, and working out.
Tessa, Registered Dental Assistant / Front Desk

Tessa has been in dentistry for over a decade, cross-trained to assist dentists and manage front-office operations. A graduate of Texas A&M Kingsville and Kaplan College, she is passionate about interacting with patients and creating a welcoming, supportive environment. Her dedication to patient care and her wealth of experience make her a vital part of the team at South Texas Periodontics & Implants.
Outside of work, Tessa is a proud dog mom to two and enjoys staying active by going to the gym. She loves cooking and experimenting with new recipes, attending sporting events and concerts, and relaxing with a good horror movie. Known for her adventurous spirit and love of taking risks, Tessa embraces every opportunity for new experiences.
Laura, Hygiene Coordinator / Registered Dental Assistant

Laura earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree and an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. She has extensive hands-on experience providing specialty care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and thrives in a professional environment, working alongside highly trained specialists and staff.
Originally from Corpus Christi, Laura enjoys a vibrant life outside of dentistry. She and her husband, Brian, share their home with two beloved miniature Australian shepherds, Levi and Molly. Passionate about creativity, she loves cooking, baking, floral design, and interior decorating. She’s also a fan of criminal investigation and home makeover shows. A talented performer, Laura has showcased her vocal skills at various events and, as a former member of the Strutters dance team at Texas State University, once performed during a San Antonio Spurs halftime show.
