Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Wu began his dental journey in Taiwan, where he earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from Taipei Medical University. Following graduation, he pursued a 4-year PGY and periodontics residency at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital. His desire to continue growing brought him to the United States, where he joined the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at UT Health Houston. After completing the program, he became board-certified in periodontics.

What Kind of Advanced Dental Training Do You Have?


With over 10 years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Wu combines strong clinical expertise with a commitment to lifelong learning. In addition to completing two intensive residency programs, he stays current with advances in periodontics through continuing education and professional memberships.

Prior to joining South Texas Periodontics & Implants, he practiced in Dallas for several years, where he further honed his skills in surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Wu is a proud husband and father. When he's not treating patients, he loves watching movies, traveling to new places, and enjoying a variety of sports. One particularly interesting fact? Dr. Wu had never been to the United States before deciding to move here to continue his dental training—a leap of faith that highlights his adventurous spirit and dedication to personal growth. He welcomes every new challenge with open arms and a desire to serve his patients with excellence and compassion.
